My name is Matthew Fordyce and I am a professionally trained pianist and teacher based in Bessbrook, Newry.
I like to make sure my students get the most out of their lessons whilst enjoying the experience of learning the piano. My students always say that our lessons are both enjoyable and informative.

I am a keen musician, who is classically trained, playing piano all my life. I have completed piano theory and piano playing grades and have a range of musical interests, including having played in bands, for concerts and social events.
I have been a primary school teacher for 8 years, working across a range of age groups from Key Stage One to Key Stage Two. For the last 5 years I have had the fantastic responsibility of being Head of Music.
Having recently relocated to Bessbrook from Essex I am keen to be part of a wonderful community and deliver piano lessons to all level of learners.
Each pupil is different and I learn as much from them as they do from me; teaching is a two-way process. I would be happy to teach you or one of your children to play the piano.
