Not at all, I teach many beginners.
Not at first. A piano is a big investment so a keyboard is fine to start with. After a few months and realising you enjoy playing its best to think about buying a piano though. This can be acoustic or electric.
I teach mainly from my home in Hillcrest Village – Bessbrook, Newry, but if you live nearby I could come to you. My home teaching space is a warm and relaxing place to learn to play the piano. My full address will be disclosed upon booking a lesson.
I have taught students from the age of 6 and upwards. I would recommend that young people under the age of 6 should be introduced to playing music through a range of fun non-instrument specific activities – indeed, children under the age of 6 lack the basic finger strength needed to play the piano. Therefore, I teach 6 and above.
Not at all, I have taught many adult students of all ages (35 – 75). So you are never to old to start learning to play the piano.
Not at all, no prior musical experience needed. I teach complete beginners upwards, helping them to learn to read music as we go.
That is totally up to you, the student. I specialise in classical and chart music up to grade five level. My aim is that you learn through that music that you are passionate about.
